Trip to Isles of Shoals is dream come true

HAMPTON — Vera Smith, a resident of the Dearborn House in Hampton, had a dream to see the Isles of Shoals and on Thursday afternoon, July 26, that dream came true through the efforts of the Ageless Dreamer Foundation.

The Isles of Shoals Steamship Company provided four complimentary tickets and Smith was joined by friends, Marion Freeman, Rae Schwotzer, and Erma Waldschlagel for the afternoon trip. "It was wonderful, everything I expected," said Smith. "It brought back poignant memories of my time on the New Jersey shore in the 1950s and 60s with my husband and daughter. I and friends felt very special on that special day".

The Ageless Dreamer Foundation is grateful to the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company for their generosity in making this dream a reality and to Carol Gulla of TASC and Barbara Silverstone of Dearborn House who helped arrange the trip.

The Ageless Dreamer Foundation's motto is "an attitude worth having." It was founded in January 2006 with a vision to help older citizens realize an unfulfilled dream and re-engage them in the communities they helped build.
