Alice and Winthrop's Picnic

Now living in a Dover, NH resthome, Alice and Winthrop L. were dreaming about one last visit to their old homestead in No.Berwick, Me. and a picnic down by the river. For sure this charming couple knew that simple dreams often hold the most memories. The event begiin as they were welcomed at the Berwick Town Hall and honored with a special proclamation by a representative to the Maine Legislature celebrating their sixty-seven years of marriage.

Carrying her straw hat, Alice and Winthrop were suprised to learn they would be chauvered in a beautiful 1936 Packard convertable. They held hands as they enjoyed the many views down memory lane and the reminicing about courting days. Arriving at a quite, private location on Little River, the scene was complete with white table linens and napkins, along with flowers donated by Leslie of Portsmouth, NH. A specially designed vegetarian menu was prepared and presented by Savory Starts with enough left over for the couple to take home to enjoy again that evening. With homemade wild blueberry pie for dessert, the day was complete.
